Kim and Ben’s wedding was so incredibly wholesome. When I first met the couple, they told me that they wanted their engagement session to incorporate something with the beach since their wedding venue, the Bayfront Club in Maryland, was going to be by the water. And when they inquired about what they should add to the engagement session to make it more “them,” they told me they were definitely on the nerdier side and asked if they could bring along their Nintendo Switch to the shoot because they loved playing video games together.

So it came as no surprise on their wedding day when Kim walked down the aisle during the ceremony to the Animal Crossing New Horizons opening theme! On top of that, their wedding cake toppers were customized to look like the two of them on the ocean shore together – how freaking cute is that!! To really wrap together the beachy theme, their invitation flat lay incorporated gold details, blue chiffon ribbons, and a watercolor wedding invite of ocean waves. Throughout the wedding reception were splashes of blue decor as well as the feature of crabs since Maryland was their home. By the end of their wedding day, the couple was so sweet, knowing that I had recently moved to the DMV area, that they gifted me a care package that was Old Bay themed to represent Maryland haha. Congratulations again Kim and Ben!!
