Meeting Jen and Sean and photographing their engagement session was an extremely fun and wild experience. From the moment we met (they drove up the side of the road and just said “Get in.” before confirming I was, indeed, their photographer), Jen and Sean did not stop spouting the most hilarious stories about themselves as a couple and as individuals, and I absolutely love that. I told them that I love people who love talking – I really do! And they said, “Okay great! Because we’re definitely talkers 😂”

I got to learn the names of their best friends since certain names kept popping up over and over through all these funny stories of how they met and how they became engaged. A fun fact about this couple that I cannot wait to see again is that they are both dancers and were in dance clubs while in college, where they met! So they planned on incorporating some of that into their reception, such as planning some choreography into either their reception entrance or their first dance – which I am SO stoked to witness when their wedding day comes!

While photographing couples, I usually give a prompt such as “Whisper something funny in the other person’s ear,” which often elicits laughter. For Jen and Sean, however, they started rocking back and forth together singing Can You See The Love Tonight? and I could not ask for a funnier prompt because I should definitely just say that to my future couples instead!

Since I’m originally from Florida, I was not used to elevation whatsoever (hiking is nonexistent and Fun Fact: the highest point of elevation in Florida is still considered one of the lowest in the states!), so when Jen and Sean got close to the edge to get those shots of them looking off into the distance while holding each other close, my mind was like !!!! But they were completely immune to the fear of heights, and because of that, we were able to get some stunning shots to close up the shoot! Can’t wait to see you two again next year for your wedding!
