If you’re looking for the dreamiest, industrial/eclectic vibes to your wedding, this is it. Patrick and Jessica have such a soft spot for downtown St Pete, where they both reside, that they knew they wanted touches of this gorgeous location for their wedding. Everything from the Station House venue’s details to the cityscape backdrop for their reception dance floor were a dream come true for all those couples who love the city vibe for their own weddings.
We started off the day by photographing Jessica’s getting ready moments with her bridesmaids at their house. I loveddd how each of the bridesmaids dresses matched the soft greenery from their bouquets. And don’t even get me started on Jessica’s dress!! The dramatic ruffles give such an awesome, fluffy and dramatic flair that I was already all heart-eyes just thinking about the types of photos we can get with that dress. They had their ceremony at one of the downtown churches before the trolley took them over to Vinoy Park in St Pete, where we finished off their bridal party portraits and private portraits.
I’ve gotten so used to photographing wedding portraits in settings such as forests or barn venues that it was very refreshing capturing photos with a much more urban city vibe to it! Station House also offered some interior spaces that gave off more of the industrial touches that Jessica absolutely loved. One of the rooms at the venue that had the neon sign inside was like the perfect, fun cherry on top to finish off their private portraits.
When everyone entered the reception space, there were so many audible gasps at how gorgeous all the decor and placements were. Patrick and Jessica had their sweetheart table in the middle of the dining area, with each of their guest tables surrounding them. The three surrounding walls had views of the gorgeous cityscape as well, letting in tons of pretty natural light – especially as the sun slowly came down over the reflective skyscrapers outside, leading into the soft, glowy twilight hour, and eventually night. One of the most notable events during reception was the speech given by Jessica’s father. You could see on everyone’s faces that they were all so touched by his words, and capturing Jessica’s emotions throughout that speech was wonderful.
After all those heartfelt moments, everyone was ushered outside for the couple’s first dance, followed by the parent dances. After that, all the guests partied on through the night, surrounded by the edison bulbs above. Congratulations again Patrick and Jessica!
All of our pictures from Jasmine captured us, our family, and our friends perfectly! Jasmine was so easy to work with from the beginning with our engagement photos all the way to the last picture of our reception! All of the people we shared photos with commented on how gorgeous they are. We couldn’t be happier that Jasmine was our photographer for our wedding!
