It was so lovely meeting Alissa and Madi for the first time for their engagement session in DC! We had initially planned for a sunrise session at Hains Point Loop Trail to capture the cherry blossoms (since there were still some that were holding on for dear life now that peak season has been long over haha). But lo and behold, there was a 5k marathon that was being held in DC that blocked traffic near every turn, making me panic that I might miss the “golden hour lighting” that happens when the sun first comes up at the beginning of the day. Luckily, these two swooped in to save me from the roadside, and we opted to go for Enid Haupt Garden instead due to all the roadblocks – and it ended up being a great plan B! The beautiful architecture gave a gorgeous warmth to the photos with lots of open space for these two lovebirds to frolic about without any tourists walking all around. And don’t even get me started on all the florals and colorful greenery in this location. It was Alissa and Madi’s first time being professionally photographed together as a couple, and I think they totally rocked it! Their laughter and smiles to each other were so contagious, and I think it really shows in these pictures!
